How do I Register in Batchmates.com?
You can register by:
Go to the site http://www.batchmates.com
Click on the large ‘Join Now’ button.
In the page that loads, select the Country, State and City of your school from the drop-down lists.
Click on the ‘Click to Continue’ button.
You should see a complete list of all institutes in the selected city. Look for your institute, you may browse by the Alphabetic Band on top of the list, or simply type in the name of your institute in the Quick Search box at bottom and click 'Submit'.
Clicking on the institute name will open up the registration form for you. Fill in the details like your name, email address, desired password, date of birth, joining, leaving and batch year in the selected institute and your current residential location. Click on Submit to complete the registration process.

My Institute’s location is not listed.
When you’ve selected the state, there’s a link saying, “Click here to add your City if not listed” at the bottom. If your location is not listed, click on that link. Provide us with the location name and your name and email address. Please note that, in order to keep a valid and duplication free location list we need to perform cross-checks and hence the location listed by you shall not be immediately visible. Anyhow, we’ll notify you via email as soon as your location gets authorized.
My institute (school/college) is not listed.
When you’ve selected the state and the city and cannot find your school/college in the list, click the link saying “If your institution does not exist in the list above, click here to add it” at the bottom of the page. Provide us with the details of your institution and click on “Register Now” to continue. Please note that, in order to keep a valid and duplication free institute list we need to perform cross-checks. In case your institution happens to be an existing one, both will be merged together and you will receive a notification e-mail.
What is the difference between leaving year and batch year?
Batch year is the year you were supposed to leave the school ideally. If you studied in a school that has upto 12th standard and you passed out the 10th in 1990, then your leaving year is 1990 but your batch year is 1992. This is needed so that your old classmates can locate you easily.
I had already selected the country, state and city. Why do I need to select them again ?
Please note that the location details that you need to fill in the registration form are your current contact details. If you’re staying at the same place as where you studied in, then the details will be same. But if you’ve studied in some other place than you’re staying now, the current contact details are to be put in the registration form.
