Give India a chance to celebrate, and you can see the magic. Did you get my point? World Cup is back people! Just have a look at your surroundings or try to eavesdrop, I am sure the predominant topic these days would that be regarding World Cup. And why not? We get to experience this feeling only once in four years.
The tenth ICC World Cup is more special for obvious reasons. The Indian Subcontinent is in the limelight again. So we Indians, who have yearned to see the World Cup right in front of our eyes, have finally got the opportunity to see the biggest battle of cricket. Fourteen teams will compete for this biggest title of cricket. Group A consists of Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Canada and Kenya. Group B on the other hand consists of India, South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Ireland and Netherlands.
The opening ceremony was held in Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 17th February 2011. The fight has already begun on 19th February 2011, where India displayed a brilliant game of cricket against Bangladesh. Though India played some awesome shots, we cannot afford to overlook Bangladesh's performance. Their performance truly augurs the fact that they are emerging as a great team. Needless to say, Bangladesh is this World Cup's dark horse. Most critics have agreed on this part and I believe the same too.
If the chances of each and every team winning the world cup are weighed, then I must say that India, Sri Lanka and South Africa have a great chance. The three teams are definitely the masters in this game. Did I forget one team? Of course not. Australia has a different place altogether. So let us just not discuss their chances of winning the title. Like I said, Bangladesh is the dark horse. If the team is underestimated, then it can definitely turn the scoreboard topsy-turvy. Remember what they did to India last World Cup? Also Bangladesh would be playing several matches one their home ground. This is definitely an added advantage for them.
So all in all, this World Cup is going to be a roller coaster ride. Hence better book your tickets now or at least make sure to have the remote control of your TV in your hands.
