People like you and I are more familiar with fashion models when they appear on commercials on television. I am sorry if I have been too presumptuous for there may be many amongst you who frequent fashion shows and ramp walking for all I know. But possibly, they will be reading 'Vogue' for information. I just love beautiful people. And beautiful people look even better when they are meant to be looked at. In commercials or as ambassadors of haute couture. This is not a field in which allegiance to favourites is one of the strongest virtues. Showstoppers today may fade away entirely from the limelight in a few years time. Still…stars do emerge, and rise, and dazzle us by their individual brilliance and captivating style.
BM Times today, rotates the spotlight on three fresh faces that hold the promise of the future in their perfectly groomed features.
Aryan Baruah
![images[31]_401077418287210_1.jpg](returnimageBMTimes.aspx?flname=images[31]_401077418287210_1.jpg&contId=1848) You know him as the boyfriend who bikes down the highway just to wish his girlfriend 'goodnight'. (It's another matter when most ordinary girlfriends would wonder about the time, his ad girlfriend asks “Itni door se?” Let's not divert)). Aryan is 25 years old ant six feet tall. He got his first major break in a Tommy Hilfiger campaign back in 2004. He hails from Assam and has made a detour through Milan and China before coming down to Mumbai.
Aryan is a Commerce graduate and an MBA but after modelling he wants to get back to what he had started his career with – theatre. Aryan is a realist and believes that modelling, as a profession should always be backed by an alternative plan of action.
USP: A fresh change from the representative Punjabi good looks to a more soft and sensitive appeal, characteristic of north-eastern states.
Monikangana Dutta
She is currently in the headlines for being cast as Hrithik Roshan's former love interest in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next production “Guzaarish”. Remember, Aishwarya is playing the lead in this film. So there must be something in this outstanding looker that has landed the small but important role in her lap. Rumour has it that Monikangana is also booked for SLB's next upcoming project. Monikangana Dutta's meteoric rise to the top of the Indian fashion world appears to be scripted for success. Incidentally she has recently turned vegetarian and depends on Yoga to keep herself fit. She has been among the star attractions in the Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai.
USP: A combination of classy and trendy, she is the kind that makes an effortless transition ramp to screen.
Sherlyn Chopra
![images[39]_401077418519210_2.jpg](returnimageBMTimes.aspx?flname=images[39]_401077418519210_2.jpg&contId=1848) She is the next bold thing after Rakhi Sawant, though not quite in the same league. You have seen her in a few small roles earlier and also in the prestigious Yash Raj Films production 'Dil Bole Hadippa'. Her extreme daring has led to many a controversies, which no doubt she enjoys. Her outspoken views on films, society and sexuality are often publicised. She has released her first Music Album, and made the expected appearance in Big Boss season 3.
USP: Give a search on Google and find out.
