Economic Crisis: Hits Bollywood Finance
The global economic meltdown has affected the bandwagon in Bollywood. The glitz and glamour of Bollywood has received a setback with some of the leading corporate investments being hit quite badly. There has been a spurt in cancellation of projects, employee lay offs and sudden delays in the releases of mega banner movies. A pay cut in the performance charges of some of the major stars exemplifies the current turmoil to the core. According to a statistics provided by the Film Federation of India, a reduction of more than 50 percent in all forms of payment procedures outlines the importance of the problem. The loss in the Indian share market due to the economic capsize has made it difficult for the corporates to recover the finance involved.
